Shawn Barker is a Mixologist who has been in the food service industry for 16 years. His talents as a Bar Consultant have allowed him to build bar programs for different restaurants in Las Vegas, San Diego, Los Angeles, and Long Beach. Originally from San Diego, Barker has built a career with successful stints at some of the most high profile locations in Las Vegas. In addtition to training under Master Mixologist, Tony Abu-Ganim, of the Bellagio Resort and Casino, Shawn has also earned a certificate for "Advanced Spirits Training" at Southern Wine and Spirits under Francesco Lafanconi, the founder and director of the course.
Barker began his career with Wolfgang Puck Fine Dining Group at Chinois in Caesar's Palace where he started designing custom cocktails for the company. He then went on to Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill in MGM Grand, Las Vegas. Shawn relocated to the Los Angeles area to open Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill at LA Live. While in Las Vegas, Barker worked in several high profile bars including Caramel and Light at Bellagio Resort, Foundation Room at Mandalay Bay Resort, and Ice Nightclub that was featured in Spike's hit TV show, "The Club"
Shawn has been featured in numerous newspapers across the Las Vegas area as well as having had the honor of being featured as the Mixologist in several books. He has created bar menus for Spago, Wolfgang Puck bar & Grill, WP24, CUT, Chinois, Caramel, and Mister A's. You can currently find him at Felix's BBQ with Soul as the Beverage Manager and Mixologist.
